Out of sight, gone: parallel work when your attention does not queue
The name of this app is a statement about who built it. Some of us cannot hold five running things in our heads. Not for lack of trying, and not fixable with a better habit. The working memory is simply not there for it.
Externalise everything
The fix that works is to stop relying on memory at all. If a job is running, it must be visible. If it is waiting, it must look different from working. If it finished, the result must be on the screen, not in a log. The environment holds the state so the person does not have to.
No clinical claims
adhdTerminal is not a treatment and we do not pretend it is. It is a terminal that shows you everything at once. People without ADHD like it for the same reason, because nobody's attention queues well at five jobs.
Design consequences
Every tile is the same size so nothing is hidden by layout. Titles are large. There is no accent colour, so the only things that draw the eye are a pulse and a prompt. Sheets close three ways because a stuck dialog is a lost afternoon.
